It’s summer. Which means hot weather, barbecues, picnics in the park, days at the beach and, for many people, opportunities for outdoor drinking. Unfortunately, alcoholic beverages don’t help a whole lot in reaching goals like, “I’m working on losing 10 pounds,” or “I totally want to see my abs, bro.” Cutting out alcohol entirely will go a long way towards weight loss, but it’s no fun. Sometimes, there’s nothing better than hanging out by the pool with your friends and having a cocktail or two. So, where do you find the balance?
Here’s a summer cocktail that’s relatively low calorie. Our cucumber caipirinha has just 113 calories, which is much lower than most beers or traditional summer cocktails. Enjoyed in moderation, summer cocktail hour shouldn’t have to derail all of the hard work you’ve put in to achieve a killer (or pretty respectable) summer body.
